Snow on the coast

What's good with all this snow in the south? The Hampton Roads area had 7 inches of snow last night. It's not supposed to snow here! I left PA to get away from the snow and it seems to have followed me. 

Of course VA Beach has yet to plow anything other than the major roads. It's sad that this area doesn't know how to prepare for inclement weather. We have a limited amount of snow plows which makes it very difficult to go anywhere because the roads are covered with snow.

Since I'm from the Poconos where it snows all the time, I will share some of my top tips for dealing with the snow

Rule #1: Start plowing and salting the roads as soon as the snow begins to stick. Duh!

Rule #2: Do not go out unless it is an emergency. And if you do decide to drive, put your car in a lower gear. The brakes are nonexistent when there's snow and ice on the roads.

Rule #3: Dress in layers, below freezing temperatures are not good for your skin!

Smoothie Fail

My boyfriend wants us to start this "juicing" diet for 10 days. After watching the documentary, "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead," I decided that I was down. So in order to prepare myself, I decided to start a smoothie diet. It is not in my budget to buy Tropical Smoothie everyday so I figured I would research how to make my own.

After buying some fruits from Walmart, I attempted to make a smoothie. I put milk, strawberries, limes, and ice in a blender. Not only was my smoothie disgusting, but it was also pretty watery. Apparently, you're supposed to put juice in it  to add sweetness? Fail.

So it's Friday night and what am I doing? Sitting at home on my laptop listening to "R&B Love Songs" on Jango Radio. Why, may you ask? Because I'm actually off for once but my man had to go home this weekend. So here I am stuck at home with NO plans. I'm not mad, I understand that family comes first. I just thought that I would be able to see him today. It's been a few days. So pardon me for being a little upset. He likes to say that I go crazy if I haven't seen him for a couple of days. But hey, at least he considers that to be one of my cute qualities. 

But instead of sitting here wallowing in my misery, I am going to continue to take advantage of this night off and RELAX. I don't do much of that.

Happy New Year!

Here I go neglecting my blog again lol. But in my defense, I currently have three jobs, I just moved a few days ago, and I just got into a new relationship. So pardon me if I'm a little busy these days lol.

Luckily, one of those three jobs is a seasonal position and ends tomorrow.

But let's talk about this recent move. First of all, my family needs to have a TV show because when we're all together, it's like watching a comedy. The move was predicted to take four hours and ended up taking over six. Yes, we have a lot of stuff, but the majority of it includes my mother's wardrobe of clothes, purses, coats, etc. We still have A LOT of unpacking to do but at least the hardest part is over.

And about my relationship. Just know that he's a Taurus and I adore him :-)

Congrats to Evelyn Lozada on finding love with Carl Crawford! He's a Leo and she's a Sag so this should be a great match! We already know she's a crazy one so of course I had to look up this man's sign. But what's the deal with celebrities getting engaged after announcing a pregnancy?

Personally, I think it's a little cliche to get engaged on a holiday. So I hope my man doesn't EVER decide to do that. I rather it be done on a completely random day. But anyway, Merry Christmas!!!

Sit down, Bey

I finally decided to listen to Beyonce's new album even though I am not her biggest fan. However, I respect her as an entertainer because she knows how to give a great performance.

With that being said, her newest album titled, "Beyonce" is very different from her previous albums. I'm curious to know what inspired the change. I actually have a few favorites: Drunk in Love, Mine, Partition, and Haunted. I've only listened to the whole album twice so give me some time to develop more favorites. 

These videos though are another story. I think everyone should check them out for themselves lol. 

But kudos to you, Bey, and no I'm not going to bow down to you. I can't blame Beyonce for having a big ego though, her fans refer to her as "Queen Bee."

Khloe and Lamar heading for divorce

I'd like for everyone to take a moment of silence for Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom. I am extremely sad about her recent decision to file for divorce. However, a woman can only take so much hurt, pain, and embarrassment. Lamar's cheating rap was the final straw. Hopefully, she's just being a Cancer and doing this to scare him. I was glad to hear that Khloe isn't requesting spousal support. This proves that she was never in it for the money.

Instagram messaging?

"The thirst on Instagram is about to get real," said my brother.

Apparently the newest Instagram update allows users to message each other. This is going to be a mess for various reasons lol. Not all people are bold enough to come at someone by commenting on their picture. So this "Instagram direct" opens a WHOLE new window  of communication lol.

If it wasn't my friend's birthday today, I would probably still be in bed. The cold weather just makes me want to sleep forever. But I wanted to make sure I texted him first thing in the morning to show that I remembered his birthday. No need for me to mention his name because he probably won't even see this post. But shoutout to YOU because you deserve to have a great day. 

I don't drink vodka anymore (too many bad experiences with Pinnacle) but this used to be his favorite liquor. It probably still is. Anyone else a fan of vodka?

Kendall Jenner almost legal

Kendall Jenner, being the Scorpio that she is, must be enjoying all this new-found attention ever since her 18th birthday. She wasted no time in posting a picture in a see-through top. And I say she's almost legal because 21 is when you're really legal.

But anyway, I recently read that she's dating Harry Styles from One Direction. He's an Aquarius, which is a Scorpio's worst match. I'm not saying that it can't work...because it may. But it will definitely be a challenge.

Yes I am into astrology but no I do not live my life by it. I just find it interesting. My parents are not compatible in any way, shape, or form, Yet they just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.
